Binance announced that it will delist seven USDC spot trading pairs on September 25. The decision covers AIXBT/USDC, DOLO/USDC, ENJ/USDC, HUMA/USDC, SXT/USDC, TNSR/USDC and TURTLE/USDC.
The exchange will halt trading in these pairs at 03:00 UTC on Friday, September 25. The affected tokens will remain available through other supported trading pairs on Binance.
Binance regularly reviews trading pairs
In its September 22 announcement, Binance said it regularly reviews its spot markets. The exchange considers factors such as low liquidity and trading volume during these reviews.
Following its latest assessment, Binance decided to remove seven USDC pairs. However, the announcement does not provide a separate reason or trading volume data for each pair.
Liquidity in a trading pair affects the prices at which users can execute their orders. In markets with limited buy and sell orders, large trades can widen the gap between the expected price and the actual execution price.
Related trading bots will also stop
Binance will also discontinue Spot Trading Bots services for these pairs at 03:00 UTC. The exchange urged users to update or cancel their bots before the shutdown to avoid potential losses.
Tokens will remain listed
The announcement applies only to the specified USDC trading pairs. Other available pairs for AIXBT, DOLO, ENJ, HUMA, SXT, TNSR and TURTLE will remain accessible on Binance Spot.
Likewise, the decision does not mean Binance is removing USDC from the platform entirely. Users will still be able to buy and sell the assets mentioned in the announcement through other trading pairs supported by Binance.
