Rainbow Chart

What is the Bitcoin (Rainbow) Chart?

The Bitcoin Rainbow Chart is an indicator that visualizes Bitcoin's price movements with color bands and helps analyze market cycles. Each color band represents a different market condition and gives investors an idea about possible market states.

From top to bottom:

  • Maximum Bubble: Indicates extremely overvalued regions.
  • Sell Seriously: Shows conditions with strong selling pressure.
  • FOMO Intensifies: Represents the period of increased 'Fear of Missing Out' (FOMO) due to high buying pressure.
  • Is This a Bubble?: The level where a potential bubble formation is questioned.
  • Hold: Indicates the condition where maintaining current positions is appropriate.
  • Still Cheap: Shows that Bitcoin is potentially at low valuation levels.
  • Accumulate: These are levels where gradual buying can be considered.
  • Buy: Represents periods with strong buying opportunities.
  • Fire Sale: Means Bitcoin is extremely undervalued.

The colored bands in the chart are derived from Bitcoin's historical price movements and visualize valuation levels based on historical data.

  • Overvalued regions, Indicates extremely overvalued regions.
  • Balanced regions, Shows conditions with strong selling pressure.
  • Undervalued regions. Represents the period of increased 'Fear of Missing Out' (FOMO) due to high buying pressure.

This indicator can be used as a guide for long-term investment decisions. However, it is not sufficient to provide trading signals on its own and must be evaluated together with other technical and fundamental analysis tools.
