What is Crypto Liquidation?

Crypto liquidation occurs when a trader's position is automatically closed due to insufficient margin falling below the required minimum level. This commonly happens in leveraged trading and is known in the community as getting 'Rekt'.

These significant losses from forced position closures happen automatically to protect both the trader and the exchange. During periods of high volatility, high-leverage positions opened with insufficient collateral frequently result in liquidation.
