Trump Media-Linked Wallets Transfer $342 Million in Bitcoin

Wallets linked to Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social, sent a total of 4,259.34 Bitcoin to Crypto.com. According to Arkham data, the transfer took place in two separate transactions. The move has renewed questions about whether the company is reducing its Bitcoin reserves ahead of a potential debt repurchase obligation at the end of the month.

However, moving Bitcoin to an exchange address does not establish that a sale has occurred. Trump Media previously described similar transfers to the same platform as part of its custody management and trading strategy.

Bitcoin moved from wallets labeled as collateral

According to Arkham data, the transactions took place at 02:17 UTC. The first transferred 2,140.03 BTC, while the second sent 2,119.31 BTC to the same address, reportedly owned by Crypto.com.

Arkham labels the sending addresses as “2028 Convertible Notes Collateral.” That label aligns with the borrowing and collateral arrangement the company previously disclosed.

According to Trump Media’s second-quarter report, the company had pledged 4,260.73 BTC as collateral for its convertible notes as of June 30. The report states that withdrawing or distributing those coins requires meeting certain conditions under the debt agreement.

The latest transfer represents nearly all of the disclosed collateral amount. However, the wallet labels and similar amounts alone do not explain the purpose of the transactions or establish whether the collateral arrangement has changed.

The source article includes conflicting figures for the transfer’s dollar value. Based on the Bitcoin price of approximately $80,372 displayed in the article, 4,259.34 BTC would be worth around $342.3 million; the $434 million figure in its introduction does not align with that price.

A potential $1 billion payment looms at month-end

The company’s approaching debt repurchase date makes the timing of the transfer noteworthy. According to a November 2 securities filing, convertible noteholders will be able to require the company to repurchase their notes for cash on November 30.

If all noteholders exercise that right, Trump Media could face a payment of approximately $1 billion. That figure assumes every holder requests a repurchase; it does not represent a confirmed payment obligation of that size.

The same filing warns that the company may have to sell Bitcoin or other digital assets to fund the repurchases if refinancing or other measures prove insufficient. However, that possibility does not establish that the latest wallet activity was intended to fund debt repayments.

The transferred amount represents approximately 30% of the roughly 14,139 BTC Trump Media disclosed holding as of July 31, including pledged assets. Still, that July figure does not directly reflect the company’s current reserves.

Moving Bitcoin to a different custody address also does not mean ownership has changed. The transfer alone therefore cannot support the conclusion that the company’s total Bitcoin holdings have fallen by 30%.

Trump Media said earlier Crypto.com transfers were not sales

Wallets linked to Trump Media also sent approximately 2,650 BTC to Crypto.com in May 2026. Following that transfer, worth around $205 million at the time, a company spokesperson said the Bitcoin had not been sold and that the move was part of a broader trading strategy.

In early August, another 2,628 BTC, worth approximately $165 million, moved to the same platform. The company also described that transaction as custody management and said no sale had taken place.

Crypto.com has been one of Trump Media’s custody partners since the company launched its Bitcoin treasury strategy.
