U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs ended a three-day inflow streak with substantial withdrawals. The funds recorded $635.49 million in net outflows on Thursday, October 22. Ethereum, Solana, and Hyperliquid funds also saw withdrawals, while XRP products attracted fresh capital.Combined data for Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Hyperliquid show approximately $758.83 million in net outflows. This calculation covers only ETFs tracking those five assets. It therefore does not represent the entire U.S. crypto ETF market.Bitcoin funds recorded the largest withdrawals of the day. Ethereum ETFs followed with $110.50 million in net outflows. Together, funds tracking the two largest cryptocurrencies lost $745.99 million.BlackRock and Fidelity lead Bitcoin ETF outflowsMarket data show that BlackRock’s IBIT recorded $254.05 million in net outflows. Fidelity’s FBTC followed with withdrawals of $217.46 million. Together, the two funds accounted for approximately 74% of daily net Bitcoin ETF outflows.ARK Invest and 21Shares’ ARKB also recorded $109.43 million in withdrawals. Grayscale’s GBTC lost $29.53 million, while Bitwise’s BITB saw $27.35 million leave. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT moved in the opposite direction, attracting $2.33 million.Farside Investors’ table shows a similar distribution across the same funds. However, Farside puts total daily net outflows at $635.6 million. Although the two data providers report slightly different figures, both show the same direction. One day of withdrawals erased much of the three-day recoveryBitcoin ETFs had started the week strongly. According to Farside, the funds attracted $526.7 million in net inflows on October 19. They then added $23.2 million on October 20 and $524.8 million on October 21.Total inflows across those three sessions reached approximately $1.075 billion. Thursday’s withdrawals erased roughly 59% of that amount. Nevertheless, the first four trading days of the week still generated $439.1 million in net inflows. The comparison highlights the difference between daily flows and the weekly picture. Despite Thursday’s sharp reversal, earlier inflows have not disappeared entirely. Friday’s flows will determine where the weekly total ends.Ethereum’s brief recovery endsEthereum ETFs also returned to outflows on October 22. Daily figures sourced from SoSoValue show net withdrawals of $110.50 million. Farside’s calculation for the same session stands at $110.6 million. In Farside’s table, BlackRock’s ETHA led withdrawals with $75.5 million. ETHB recorded $17.2 million in outflows, while Grayscale’s ETHE lost $9.6 million. Grayscale’s ETH fund also saw withdrawals of $10.7 million.Meanwhile, Fidelity’s FETH attracted $2.4 million in net inflows. That amount was insufficient to offset withdrawals from the other products.Ethereum funds had attracted $14.9 million in net inflows during the previous session. The latest withdrawals brought total net outflows across the week’s first four days to $225.1 million. Ethereum therefore diverged from Bitcoin, which retained net inflows over the same period.XRP attracts inflows as Solana and Hyperliquid see withdrawalsXRP ETFs recorded $3.55 million in net inflows on October 22. Solana funds lost $8.51 million, while Hyperliquid funds saw withdrawals of $7.88 million. Among these five assets, XRP was the only category to finish with positive net flows. However, XRP’s inflows remained far below the withdrawals across the other four categories. Bitcoin and Ethereum accounted for the bulk of outflows within the group. The latest figures show that early-week Bitcoin ETF demand failed to persist on Thursday, while altcoin fund flows diverged.
South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges Bithumb and Upbit announced two new listings. Bithumb said it would add APRO’s AT token to its Korean won market. Upbit announced three trading pairs for Axis Robotics’ AXIS token. The announcements on Wednesday, October 21, expand both projects’ access to the South Korean market. Bithumb is adding the AT/KRW pair, while Upbit is supporting AXIS trading against KRW, Bitcoin, and USDT. Both exchanges’ schedules indicate the same trading start time. The two tokens show different price trends. APRO’s intraday trading range widened, while AXIS attracted attention with its substantial price change on its first trading day. However, differences in starting prices and measurement periods across platforms make comparisons difficult.Bithumb Announces a Won Trading Pair for ATAccording to Bithumb’s official announcement, AT/KRW trading was scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. UTC. The exchange supports transfers through BNB Smart Chain. It also states that it will not accept tokens sent through other networks.Bithumb said it planned to open deposits and withdrawals within two hours of the announcement. The platform set AT’s reference price at 179 won. However, this figure does not mean investors will execute their trades at that price. The exchange restricts buy orders during the first five minutes of trading. During the same period, it blocks sell orders priced more than 10% below or 100% above the reference price. For approximately the first two hours, it accepts only limit orders.APRO develops oracle infrastructure that brings external data to blockchain applications. The project focuses on artificial intelligence, real-world assets, prediction markets, and DeFi applications. The AT token serves functions including service fees and governance.Upbit Opens Three Markets for AXISUpbit announced AXIS/KRW, AXIS/BTC, and AXIS/USDT trading pairs for Axis Robotics. The exchange’s trading schedule lists October 21 at 1:00 p.m. UTC as the start time. Users will therefore be able to trade AXIS against three different quote assets.Upbit supports AXIS deposits and withdrawals through the Base network. Users transferring tokens therefore need to check their network selection. The exchange’s listing announcement explicitly identifies Base as the supported network.Axis Robotics develops data infrastructure for robotics and physical AI. The project’s distributed contributor network aims to generate different types of data for training robots. This infrastructure seeks to support the development of general-purpose robotic systems.AXIS’s trading schedule also includes launches on other exchanges that same day. Bitget and LBank announced October 21 at 1:00 p.m. UTC as their trading start time. This corresponds to 4:00 p.m. in Türkiye, meaning the scheduled listing time has already passed.
Binance Futures announced it will remove the USDT-margined perpetual contracts for PTB and MITO. The exchange will close all open positions at 09:00 UTC on Friday, October 23. It will then complete automatic settlement and delist the PTBUSDT and MITOUSDT contracts.Price charts dated October 21 showed sharp selling in both assets. The PTB perpetual contract fell to 0.0004699 USDT, while MITO dropped to 0.00922 USDT.The decision covers these two futures products. Binance’s announcement does not mean it will remove the tokens from all platform services or end spot trading.PTB and MITO Prices Drop SharplyThe Binance chart showed PTBUSDT trading at 0.0004699 USDT at around 10:53 UTC. The latest candle on the hourly chart recorded a 13.40% decline. That candle opened at 0.0005414 USDT and fell as low as 0.0004675 USDT. The price therefore remained just above its hourly low.Earlier in the chart, PTB had traded around 0.00070 USDT. Following the last two sharp red candles, the decline from that area reached approximately 33%.However, this figure represents the approximate change from the earlier price region on the chart. The 13.40% shown at the top of the screen reflects only the latest hourly candle.A noticeable increase in trading volume accompanied the selling candles on PTB’s chart. Volume bars, relatively small in earlier hours, expanded as the price fell rapidly.Meanwhile, MITO’s October 21 candle showed a 31.29% decline. The price dropped from an opening level of 0.01343 USDT to 0.00922 USDT. The same candle recorded a high of 0.01349 USDT and a low of 0.00906 USDT. At the time of the screenshot, MITO had recovered slightly from its low but remained below 0.01 USDT.The earlier section of MITO’s chart also showed a downward trend. The latest sell-off pushed the price well below its recent trading range of 0.013–0.015 USDT.Both screenshots reflect prices at a specific moment. The charts also use different time frames, so their percentage changes do not directly compare performance over the same period.Restrictions Take Effect on Orders That Increase PositionsBinance restricted new orders that do not reduce positions in both contracts at 09:30 UTC on October 21. However, the exchange said it may exempt certain market makers to support liquidity. The exchange also advised users to close open positions before automatic settlement. During the final hour before settlement, the Futures Insurance Fund will not support liquidation procedures for these contracts.Binance also reserves the right to introduce additional measures during extreme volatility. These may include changes to leverage, margin tiers, and funding parameters.Which Criteria Does Binance Assess?Binance regularly reviews futures contracts based on trading volume, liquidity, and network security. Its assessment also considers project development activity, tokenomics, and regulatory requirements. However, the announcement does not specify which criteria drove the decisions for PTB and MITO. The general review criteria therefore do not establish any specific violation by either project.
JPMorgan has brought its dollar-denominated deposit token, JPM Coin (JPMD), to Ethereum for institutional clients. The bank shared details of the expansion in a statement on Monday, October 19. JPMD is now available for institutional payments on Ethereum, following its launch on Base. The move expands JPMorgan’s efforts to bring traditional financial services onto blockchain infrastructure. JPMD represents existing deposits held at the bank on a public blockchain. This structure allows institutional clients to make payments directly onchain. The token now supports peer-to-peer transfers within the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) ecosystem. The bank’s statement specifically names Base and Ethereum among the supported networks. However, the service targets institutional clients. Why Did JPMorgan Choose Ethereum? In a statement shared with The Block, Kinexys by JPMorgan highlighted Ethereum’s liquidity. The division said the network’s established pool of tokenized assets also influenced its decision. Together, these factors made Ethereum a natural next network for JPMD.JPMorgan first launched JPM Coin on Base in November 2025. The Ethereum expansion broadens the blockchain infrastructure supporting the token. It also brings the bank’s deposit-based payment product into a wider onchain ecosystem. The choice of Ethereum also connects with the bank’s other products on the network. JPMorgan’s asset management division previously launched tokenized money market funds on Ethereum. JPMD adds another service to the bank’s institutional financial activities on the blockchain. However, the announcement does not include a general rollout for retail investors. JPMorgan presents the Ethereum expansion as a service addressing institutional clients’ payment needs. Using a public blockchain therefore does not mean the product is available to everyone.JPM Coin Represents Bank Deposits OnchainJPMD is backed by existing bank deposits held at JPMorgan. The token provides a digital representation of those deposits on a public blockchain. The bank says the product aims to improve speed and efficiency in onchain payments. This structure enables institutional clients to use bank deposits in blockchain-based payment processes. JPMorgan defines its use case around payments that take place directly onchain. Ethereum support adds another network to this payment infrastructure.Peer-to-peer transfer support is among the JPMD features highlighted in the announcement. Institutional users can transfer the token within the supported EVM ecosystem. Base and Ethereum are the two networks explicitly listed in the bank’s statement.Emma Landriault, global head of Kinexys Labs, highlighted the practical impact of tokenized financial infrastructure. According to Landriault, this infrastructure is already reshaping liquidity management and settlement processes. Digital asset workflows are also undergoing changes.Kinexys Surpasses $4 Trillion in Total Transaction VolumeJPMorgan also shared transaction figures for its Kinexys platform in the statement. The platform’s cumulative transaction volume has exceeded $4 trillion. Its average daily transaction volume has reached $7 billion. These figures cover the Kinexys platform’s overall activities. The bank does not present them as JPMD’s transaction volume on Ethereum. The platform’s total volume should therefore be considered separately from the new Ethereum expansion. The bank launched its first tokenized money market fund on Ethereum in December 2025. It then introduced a second fund in May 2026. JPM Coin’s arrival on Ethereum expands the bank’s activities on the network following those launches.Matthew Dawson, co-founder of Ethereum Institutional, also connected the development with the bank’s earlier initiatives. Dawson noted that JPM Coin was already live on Base. He also emphasized that the Kinexys platform itself uses Ethereum Virtual Machine technology.According to Dawson, these developments show institutional finance moving onto public, verifiable infrastructure. JPMorgan’s latest announcement adds another example of bank deposits entering this environment. Ethereum now hosts both the bank’s tokenized funds and its deposit token.
Anyone looking to earn yield on crypto assets soon encounters dozens of protocols, different networks, and constantly changing rates. Concrete aims to simplify this fragmented landscape through automated yield vaults and shared asset management infrastructure. Its CT token supports governance participation and access to certain protocol settings; understanding Concrete requires considering the token’s role, how its vaults operate, and the risks involved together.Concrete’s Definition and OriginsConcrete is an onchain finance platform that allocates digital assets across different yield strategies. Its infrastructure serves individual users accessing vaults and institutions building their own financial products.Vaults sit at the center of the project. Users deposit supported assets into these vaults and receive tokens representing their share, while the underlying strategies seek to generate returns.Concrete’s website highlights Earn, Enterprise, and AssetCX. Earn provides access to yield strategies, Enterprise helps other organizations develop vault products, and AssetCX aims to connect assets held with custodians to onchain uses. The approach addresses the time and technical knowledge that DeFi requires. Searching for opportunities across protocols, moving positions, and reinvesting returns creates a much more complex process than simply holding an asset. Concrete automates some of these tasks.Which networks does it run on?CT launched as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. The project’s token launch announcement also provides a CT contract on BNB Smart Chain alongside Ethereum mainnet. The networks hosting the token need to be distinguished from Concrete’s wider product offering. CT’s presence on a network does not mean every vault operates there or that all strategies accept the same assets.Network details matter particularly when transferring tokens. An exchange supporting CT trading does not necessarily enable deposits and withdrawals on both Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain. Comparing the destination platform’s network options and contract details before a transfer helps prevent confusion with other tokens using the same ticker.Founding team and early developmentBlueprint Finance is the development company behind Concrete. Key figures include Nic Roberts-Huntley and Dillon Liang; Concrete’s Enterprise page lists Roberts-Huntley as CEO and Liang as chief strategy officer.Blueprint Finance’s early announcements focused on onchain borrowing, lending, and liquidation risk management. The company’s $7.5 million funding announcement in 2024 marked one of the early steps supporting Concrete’s development. Over time, the product’s scope expanded around yield vaults and institutional asset management. Technical goals described in older Concrete introductions should therefore not automatically be treated as fully operational features in today’s products. The development company, foundation, and token issuer also have different responsibilities. These distinctions help clarify who oversees technical development and what rights token holders receive.Concrete’s History and EcosystemConcrete’s development began before its token launch. Blueprint Finance first developed its DeFi infrastructure; vault products, different strategies, and institutional applications subsequently became more prominent.Polychain Capital led a $9.5 million funding round announced in 2025. YZi Labs, VanEck, and other investors participated; the company said its total funding had exceeded $17 million. The introduction of Concrete Foundation and CT marked the next major stage. The foundation’s responsibilities include coordinating governance and managing the CT treasury, while Concrete Network, Ltd. was named as the token issuer.CT’s token generation event, or TGE, took place on September 30, 2026. This date marks the key milestone in CT’s market launch.Token listings and recent developmentsOKX announced that CT/USDT spot trading would begin on September 30, 2026, at 1 p.m. Türkiye time (UTC+3). CT also began trading on Binance Alpha that day; Binance Futures launched its CTUSDT perpetual contract on October 1, with leverage of up to 20x.Daily closing data showed CT rising from $0.4123 on September 30 to $0.4927 on October 1, a gain of approximately 19.5%. However, the entire move could not be attributed to the Binance listings. On October 19, 2026, South Korean exchanges Upbit and Bithumb announced new trading support for CT. Upbit announced KRW, BTC, and USDT pairs, while Bithumb said it would add the token to its KRW market. Upbit scheduled trading to begin at noon Türkiye time, and Bithumb at 1 p.m.According to market data published after Upbit’s announcement, CT rose 32.84% within 15 minutes, briefly reaching 0.44 USDT. The token then gave back some of those gains, retreating to around 0.39 USDT when the report appeared. As of October 19, CT token price is at approximately $0.3663, up 15.39% over the past 24 hours and 16.81% over the past seven days. Despite these gains, the token remains approximately 40.9% below its all-time high of $0.6195. At the time of writing, CT’s total and maximum supply are both listed as 1 billion. The deposited asset and trading volume figures on Concrete’s own pages also measure different things. Cumulative trading volume does not show how much capital is in the system at any one time; directly comparing figures updated on different dates can produce misleading conclusions.Partnerships, community, and governanceBitGo is one of Concrete’s institutional partners. According to the project, the partnership aims to develop yield products compatible with institutions’ existing custody arrangements. The model aims to bring custody, strategy execution, and reporting together. An institution’s access to a product still depends on the service’s terms, supported assets, and its own operational requirements. The collaboration with Ceffu centers on AssetCX. The existence and value of eligible assets held in custody can be represented onchain, connecting those assets with DeFi strategies. The details vary depending on the custodian, strategy, and agreements involved. In its Ceffu partnership announcement, Concrete also states that it is not a custodian. For the community, CT is designed to support participation in certain protocol decisions. The team says governance will develop gradually. How Does the CT Token Work?CT’s main functions center on governance and protocol configuration. Eligible users are expected to lock their tokens to participate in certain decision-making processes. These areas include strategy approvals, collateral classifications, and fee frameworks. For users staking CT, supported modules provide adjustments to certain protocol fees applied to their own transactions. These functions need to be considered separately from potential returns generated by Concrete vaults. Depositing assets into a vault means participating in a particular strategy; holding CT creates a different economic exposure tied to the token’s price and uses.Concrete Foundation’s current interface also offers the option to stake CT and earn Concrete points. A reward in a points program does not, by itself, promise fixed cash income or tokens with a specific future value.Holding CT does not confer company equity, dividends, or a claim on protocol assets. There is therefore no automatic link between the scale of activity on the platform and a token holder’s economic rights.Supply, allocation, and tokenomicsCT’s announced total supply is 1 billion tokens. The project says its supply model has no inflation mechanism and divides the allocation into four main categories. The ecosystem receives 35% of CT’s supply, or 350 million tokens. Investors receive 28%, equivalent to 280 million CT, while the team receives 22%, or 220 million CT. The remaining 15%, equivalent to 150 million CT, is allocated to Concrete Foundation. The ecosystem allocation supports community distribution, participation, liquidity, and growth. The foundation allocation aims to fund activities such as development, security, and governance; team and investor allocations are subject to long-term vesting arrangements.A fixed total supply does not mean additional tokens cannot enter the market. Previously created tokens held under lock can increase the circulating supply when they are released. According to the allocation breakdown, the team and investors together account for 50% of the supply. This percentage does not prove that selling will occur, but it makes token unlocks and ownership concentration important to monitor.Assessing supply requires three separate pieces of information: total supply, circulating supply, and future unlocks. Without one of these, the token’s price alone cannot provide a sound basis for deciding whether the project is cheap or expensive. For example, fully diluted valuation is calculated by multiplying the current price by the total supply. This calculation does not mean all tokens can be sold today or that the market would buy that quantity at the same price.Protocol operations and securityConcrete vaults use the ERC-4626 tokenized vault approach. Under this standard, users receive shares representing their proportional exposure to the vault’s underlying assets; deposits and withdrawals follow a common technical framework.Concrete’s explanations cite share tokens such as ctDefiUSDT as examples. Their value relates to the vault’s assets and total share count, using a different calculation from the market price of the CT governance token.A hypothetical example helps illustrate this. If a user receives 1,000 vault shares for 1,000 units of an asset, and the value per share later rises to 1.03 units, the position could reach approximately 1,030 units, with relevant costs taken into account. The same mechanism can also produce losses. An unchanged share count does not mean the deposited assets will retain their value.Concrete says many of its vaults process withdrawal requests through a queue. Unwinding positions can take time, creating a delay between requesting a withdrawal and receiving assets in a wallet.Net asset value, or NAV, plays an important role in accounting. According to Concrete, valuation updates pass through separate validation steps, and smart contract checks can block changes that exceed defined limits. In asynchronous vaults, NAV when a withdrawal settles may differ from NAV when the user submitted the request. Capital remains exposed to gains or losses while it stays in the strategy, so this difference can affect the amount received. The security approach extends beyond audits. The Enterprise page describes work with firms such as Halborn and Cantina, a bug bounty program, transaction monitoring, and controls that can pause operations under certain conditions; these measures do not eliminate the possibility of losses. Why Does Concrete Matter?Accessing an attractive DeFi yield often requires managing several different operations at once. Users need to choose protocols, move assets, pay transaction costs, and adjust positions as market conditions change.Concrete’s automation approach aims to reduce this operational burden. Vault strategies can use methods such as lending, liquidity provision, restaking, and balancing different market positions. The key consideration is where the yield comes from. Interest paid by borrowers and returns generated through temporary incentive tokens may not be equally sustainable. For example, a vault’s displayed annual yield may fall when a rewards program ends. Higher transaction costs or reduced liquidity in the markets used by a strategy can also change the net outcome.Comparing vaults solely by their APY is therefore insufficient. The underlying asset, fees, withdrawal period, and circumstances in which a strategy could lose money all need consideration. These details also determine how effective automation is. Fewer transactions can save users time, but the decisions of the system allocating capital and the protocols it relies on remain important. Its place in the DeFi ecosystemConcrete’s products serve both end users and organizations building other financial products. Through Enterprise, organizations can create vaults using their own strategies, wallet arrangements, and data sources. The platform offers integration options through interfaces or software development tools. It aims to address shared needs such as accounting, position tracking, and withdrawal management through a single infrastructure.Under this model, Concrete’s growth may extend beyond the number of users visiting its own application. The number of other products using its infrastructure and their continued usage also become meaningful indicators. The announced Euler partnership is one example of this approach extending into lending markets. Concrete plans to act as a curator that designs and monitors certain lending markets within Euler’s vault structure. This role includes setting accepted collateral, borrowing rates, price data sources, and position limits. The project also aims to enable Concrete vault shares to be used in different lending products where appropriate.Using a vault share in another application can give users greater flexibility. However, borrowing against the same position can add credit and liquidation risks to the original vault exposure. An increase in integrations alone is therefore insufficient as a measure of quality. Actual usage, liquidity, and the conditions under which an integration might stop working also need consideration.Protocol risks and price volatilityPrice volatility is the first risk CT investors face. During periods of limited liquidity, even seemingly small orders can move prices significantly; large trades may execute at prices far from the latest displayed quote.Concrete’s whitepaper also discusses risks involving smart contract vulnerabilities, bridge systems, custody services, and reliance on third parties. For vault users, the underlying asset presents additional risks. A stablecoin losing its peg or another crypto asset declining in market value can affect a strategy’s outcome.Withdrawal conditions deserve as much attention as yield. If users cannot close their positions when they need cash, the value shown on paper may differ from the amount they can actually access. While governance aims for broad token holder participation, the influence of large holders, voter turnout, and how decisions are implemented require monitoring. A voting mechanism does not mean every participant has equal influence over decisions. There is also no guaranteed relationship between project development and token performance. Concrete offering more products may indicate growing activity; CT’s price remains subject to supply, demand, and broader market conditions.Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)Below are answers to some frequently asked questions about Concrete (CT).What is Concrete, and when did it launch?: Concrete is an onchain asset management platform offering automated yield vaults and tools for institutional products. Development began before CT; the announced TGE date for the CT token was September 30, 2026.What is the CT token used for?: CT is intended to support participation in certain governance decisions and protocol fee configuration features within supported modules. Usage depends on locking, staking, and the rules of the relevant module; holding CT does not confer dividend rights.Which networks does Concrete operate on?: The project has announced CT contracts on Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain. The networks available for Concrete vaults and the assets they accept vary by product; users need to check the token’s network and the vault’s network separately.Who founded Concrete?: Nic Roberts-Huntley and Dillon Liang are the prominent founders associated with Blueprint Finance, the company developing Concrete. Concrete Foundation coordinates governance and treasury matters, while Concrete Network, Ltd. handles token issuance. What is the CT token supply?: The announced total supply is 1 billion CT.Is Concrete a suitable investment?: That assessment depends on an individual’s risk tolerance, investment horizon, and understanding of the project. CT’s price risk and the vaults’ strategy risks need separate assessment; high yield targets or institutional partnerships do not guarantee capital preservation. Concrete aims to make DeFi yield management more accessible and build shared infrastructure for institutions. Evaluating the project requires monitoring actual vault performance, withdrawal conditions, and governance development together; CT’s role also needs to be understood clearly and separately from these products.Follow the JR Kripto Guide series to keep track of Concrete’s yield vaults, CT governance, and institutional DeFi connections.

South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges Bithumb and Upbit announced delisting and trading warning decisions covering 12 altcoins. Bithumb will end spot trading support for six tokens and has placed four assets on its trading warning list. Upbit added district0x (DNT) and Hive Dollar (HBD) to its own warning list. The October 16 announcements set different processes in motion for the affected assets. Bithumb’s decision on six tokens sets out the end of trading support, while assets placed on the warning lists remain under review.Bithumb Announces Delisting Schedule for Six TokensBithumb will end trading support for Azit (AZIT), CUDIS (CUDIS), FANC (FANC), TEMCO (TEMCO), Nestree (EGG), and STAT (STAT). The exchange said the issues that had previously prompted trading warnings for these assets remained unresolved.According to the official schedule, trading in all six tokens will end on November 16, 2026, at 06:00 UTC. At the same time, Bithumb will disable API trading support for the affected assets and cancel all outstanding buy and sell orders.Withdrawal support will remain available until December 16, 2026, at 06:00 UTC. This leaves a one-month window between the end of trading and the withdrawal deadline. The exchange urged users planning to transfer their assets to another platform or a personal wallet to complete address registration in advance. Bithumb noted that address reviews can take time and that the announced schedule may change. Why Were UOS, MAY, TAVA, and AL Placed on the Warning List?A separate Bithumb announcement covers Ultra (UOS), Mayflower (MAY), Altava (TAVA), and ArchLoot (AL). The exchange said it had added all four assets to its trading warning list. The decision was based on market capitalization and trading volume criteria. Bithumb said the assets’ combined market capitalization and trading activity across domestic and international exchanges fell below the thresholds set out in its warning policy. The exchange scheduled the suspension of deposits for these four assets for October 16 at 07:00 UTC. Its notice identified January 11–15 as the period for a further announcement on whether to extend or lift the warnings, or terminate trading support.Bithumb said it could lift the warning status if the underlying issues were resolved during the review period. The current decision therefore does not establish a confirmed delisting schedule for UOS, MAY, TAVA, or AL.Upbit Places DNT and HBD Under ReviewUpbit’s trading warnings cover district0x (DNT) and Hive Dollar (HBD). Reports published on October 16 indicated that the exchange had added both tokens to its warning list.According to sources reporting the announcement, Upbit also suspended deposits for both assets on October 16 at 16:00 Korean time, or 07:00 UTC. The review period is expected to run until the week of November 2–6.At this stage, the trading warnings for DNT and HBD do not constitute confirmed delisting decisions. Further announcements from the exchange will clarify the review outcome and subsequent trading arrangements. The key distinction across the two exchanges’ announcements is between a scheduled trading closure and an ongoing review. Bithumb has set an end date for trading in AZIT, CUDIS, FANC, TEMCO, EGG, and STAT; the other six assets remain subject to warning procedures.Deposit suspensions, trading closures, and withdrawal deadlines also represent separate stages. Users holding the affected assets therefore need to follow each exchange’s individual schedule and subsequent announcements.
The Starknet community has opened a vote on whether to explore becoming an independent Layer 1 blockchain. The proposal focuses on potential security risks from quantum computers and highlights infrastructure components tied to Ethereum. Meanwhile, STRK has gained 24.12% over the past seven days despite a pullback in the last 24 hours. The vote, which began on Thursday, October 15, marks the first stage of a discussion aimed at giving Starknet greater control over its security decisions. However, a positive outcome would not mean an immediate departure from its current role as an Ethereum Layer 2.STRK retains weekly gains despite a daily declineAccording to the price snapshot taken at the time of writing, STRK is trading at approximately $0.0767. The token has gained 24.12% over the past seven days while falling 3.29% in the last 24 hours. The same data shows a 30-day gain of 174.79%. This leaves the token significantly above its level a month earlier, despite selling pressure in recent days.STRK’s 24-hour trading range extends from $0.0720 to $0.0895. Its current price sits near the lower end of that range, highlighting the short-term volatility accompanying its weekly gains. The chart shows that the price climbed above $0.12 during its recent rally before retreating. A weekly return of more than 24% therefore does not mean the token has held on to its recent highs. The discussion around an independent network coincides with these price movements. However, the available data is insufficient to attribute the entire rally to the vote or the quantum security initiative alone.Starknet community considers an independent L1In the voting snapshot reported by The Block, votes representing 177.6 million STRK had been cast, with 99.91% supporting “Yes.” These figures reflect the tally at the time of that report, rather than the final result. The seven-day, nonbinding poll gauges the community’s interest in an independent network. If the proposal receives support, the team will begin research, followed by more detailed proposals and further votes.A “No” outcome would keep Starknet’s post-quantum security work within its existing Layer 2 architecture. The discussion therefore centers on which network architecture should support that work, rather than whether it should continue.StarkWare first raised the independent L1 idea on October 8. CEO Eli Ben-Sasson argues that blockchains need suitable cryptography and the ability to upgrade it when necessary.Ethereum dependencies sit at the heart of the security debateAccording to StarkWare, the components under Starknet’s direct control are well positioned to become quantum-resistant. The network already uses hash-based STARK proofs.Starknet accounts can also adopt post-quantum signature schemes without requiring a protocol upgrade. However, its Ethereum bridge and data availability arrangements remain tied to Ethereum’s infrastructure and upgrade timeline. The proposal identifies these dependencies as security areas outside Starknet’s direct control. An independent L1 would aim to let the network set its own security timetable for those components.StarkWare has not announced a timeline for a potential transition. The official proposal also states that STRK would remain the network’s token, no new token would be introduced, and bridges from Ethereum to Starknet would remain open. The security debate comes alongside new privacy developments on the network. Shadow Accounts, introduced by StarkWare this week, aim to let users maintain positions in decentralized applications without publicly linking their activity to their main wallets. For STRK, the final vote tally and subsequent technical proposals will be key developments to watch. While initial community support appears strong, further work will need to clarify how an independent L1 would operate and the conditions for a potential transition.
Bitcoin recovered modestly to $81,200 after falling below $81,000 during early trading. Selling pressure following the latest U.S. inflation data weighed on both cryptocurrencies and Asian equities. Total crypto liquidations reached $951.4 million over the past 24 hours.Bitcoin traded at $80,764 early on Thursday, October 15, before recovering some of its losses. However, the move back above $81,000 was insufficient to erase the earlier decline. Ethereum and other major altcoins also suffered steep losses during morning trading. The sell-off centered on the implications of stronger-than-expected U.S. inflation for Federal Reserve policy. Losses that began on Wall Street continued into the Asian session as technology stocks fell. Investors’ retreat from risk spread across multiple asset classes.Bitcoin Recovers Above $81,000Bitcoin was down 3.6% over the previous 24 hours when it traded at $80,764 early in the session. The price later climbed to $81,200, recovering approximately 0.54% from that level. Despite the rebound, the world’s largest cryptocurrency remained under pressure.Bitcoin had fallen below $82,000 in the previous session following the U.S. inflation release. Further selling during Asian trading pushed it below $81,000. A subsequent modest recovery brought the price back above that threshold.Ethereum fell 6.5% to $2,353 during morning trading. Its daily decline exceeded Bitcoin’s by 2.9 percentage points over the same period. The gap showed that the second-largest cryptocurrency faced heavier selling pressure.Losses also spread across other major altcoins. Zcash dropped 12.8% to $1,101, while Solana fell 4.8% and XRP lost 4.7%. Zcash’s double-digit decline was the sharpest among these assets.Asian Equities Suffer Heavy LossesSouth Korea’s Kospi index slid 8% during Thursday’s morning session, leading regional losses. Shares in chipmakers Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix fell more than 9%. Japan’s Nikkei 225 also declined 5.2%.The regional sell-off followed overnight losses in U.S. markets. Stronger-than-expected core inflation fueled concerns about the Fed’s interest rate outlook. Weakness in technology stocks carried over into Asian morning trading.According to Zeus Research analyst Dominick John, the simultaneous declines in crypto and Asian equities reflected a broader retreat from risk. John said weakness in U.S. technology stocks had spread to both markets. The parallel declines therefore did not necessarily mean that one market directly triggered losses in the other. The analyst also pointed to annual U.S. inflation reaching 3.7%, exceeding expectations. In John’s assessment, the reading renewed concerns that interest rates would remain elevated for longer. Those expectations added pressure to risk assets.Long Liquidations Reach $876 MillionAccording to CoinGlass data, crypto liquidations totaled $951.4 million over the past 24 hours. Long positions, which traders open in anticipation of rising prices, accounted for $876.3 million. That represented approximately 92% of total liquidations. The breakdown showed that the decline disproportionately affected traders using leverage to bet on further gains. Liquidations outside long positions totaled approximately $75.1 million. Rapid price declines placed particular pressure on highly leveraged trades.Liquidation figures do not represent the total amount of money leaving the crypto market. They measure leveraged positions forcibly closed when collateral becomes insufficient to keep trades open. The $951.4 million total therefore highlights the sell-off’s impact on derivatives markets.Bitcoin’s recovery to $81,200 offered some relief compared with its early-morning level. However, altcoin losses, falling Asian equities and elevated liquidations illustrated the breadth of the selling pressure. U.S. inflation and expectations for Federal Reserve policy remained central to market pricing.
BlackRock’s crypto asset funds attracted $7.9 billion in net inflows during the third quarter of 2026. This more than offset the roughly $2.2 billion investors withdrew during the first six months of the year. Total digital assets under management rose 63% quarter over quarter to $79.6 billion.According to the company’s third-quarter results released on October 14, both investor inflows and rising crypto prices contributed to the recovery. Despite the strong quarterly performance, however, the funds’ assets remained below their level a year earlier.Inflows into BlackRock’s digital asset funds regain momentumBlackRock managed $48.8 billion in digital asset products at the end of June. That figure reached $79.6 billion by the end of September. The total increase over the three-month period amounted to $30.8 billion.Net new investor money accounted for $7.9 billion of that increase. The remaining $22.9 billion came from gains in the market value of the assets held by the funds.Calculations based on the reported figures show that price movements contributed approximately 74% of the quarterly increase. Net investor inflows accounted for around 26%.The 63% increase in assets under management therefore does not mean that new investment rose by the same percentage. This measure reflects both money entering and leaving the funds and changes in the market value of their existing portfolios.Declines in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies weighed on the value of funds holding those assets during the first half of the year. Recovering prices and stronger investor demand supported BlackRock’s digital asset products in the third quarter.Combining the roughly $2.2 billion in first-half outflows with third-quarter inflows brings net inflows for the first nine months to approximately $5.7 billion. This calculation shows that inflows into the company’s crypto products had more than offset the first-half withdrawals by the end of September.Year-over-year losses remainDespite the quarterly recovery, BlackRock’s digital assets under management remained 23% below the roughly $104 billion recorded a year earlier. The gap reflects the lingering impact of the earlier crypto market downturn.Over the past 12 months, investors added a net $6.3 billion to the company’s digital asset funds. During the same period, however, declines in market value erased $30.6 billion from assets under management.Investor withdrawals alone therefore cannot explain the year-over-year decline. While the funds continued to attract net inflows, losses in the value of their crypto holdings reduced their overall size. The difference between the quarterly and annual figures also highlights the importance of the comparison period. Assets grew sharply between June and September but remained well below their level in the same period last year.BlackRock’s figures show why fund demand and price performance need to be tracked separately. Positive net inflows indicate that investors continue to allocate money to these products, although those inflows cannot always offset falling crypto prices.Digital asset products generate $39 million in revenueBlackRock earned a total of $39 million in fees and securities lending revenue from its digital asset products during the third quarter. This revenue is separate from investor inflows and the total value of assets under management. The company also manages the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), its spot Bitcoin product. However, the earnings release did not provide separate figures for IBIT’s assets under management or net flows. The entire $7.9 billion in reported net inflows therefore cannot be attributed to IBIT or Bitcoin investments alone. The figures cover BlackRock’s digital asset products as a whole. The third-quarter results showed renewed investor demand alongside recovering prices. The year-over-year comparison, however, indicated that the company’s crypto funds had yet to return to their previous asset levels.
Binance has announced that it will delist Epic Chain (EPIC) and QuickSwap (QUICK). According to the exchange’s October 14 announcement, all spot trading pairs for both assets will close on October 28, 2026, at 03:00 UTC. Both tokens saw sharp price movements in the first minutes following the announcement.Binance Announces Delisting Schedule for EPIC and QUICKBinance will automatically cancel open orders once spot trading ends. Support for spot trading bots operating on the affected pairs will also end at the same time.Other products will begin winding down earlier. The announced schedule will apply depending on each token’s availability across the relevant products:Futures: New positions will be blocked from October 20 at 08:30 UTC, followed by automatic settlement at 09:00 UTC.Margin trading: The affected tokens will be removed on October 20 at 10:00 UTC.Spot Copy Trading: Support will end on October 21 at 03:00 UTC.Simple Earn: Positions will be closed on October 21 at 07:00 UTC, with assets and accrued rewards transferred to users’ spot accounts.Deposits will no longer be credited after October 29 at 03:00 UTC. Withdrawal support is scheduled to end on December 28 at 03:00 UTC; remaining balances may be converted into stablecoins after December 29.However, Binance does not guarantee conversion. If conversion is not possible, withdrawals may remain available, subject to network availability.Binance assesses factors such as liquidity, development activity, security, and transparency during its periodic reviews. The announcement does not specify which criteria EPIC and QUICK failed to meet. What Are Epic Chain and the EPIC Token Used For?Epic Chain originated from the Ethernity Chain project. In March 2025, Binance supported the transition from Ethernity Chain’s ERN token to EPIC, exchanging users’ tokens at a one-to-one ratio. EPIC/USDT spot trading began on March 13, 2025.The project currently presents itself on its official website as a travel platform for crypto users. It aims to expand the everyday use of crypto assets through hotel and flight bookings.Benefits for EPIC holders include booking discounts and access to a personal travel concierge under certain conditions. According to the project, users holding at least $10,000 worth of EPIC can access this dedicated concierge service. The platform also promotes XRP cashback on bookings. EPIC’s current utility therefore centers on access to travel services and user benefits; the advertised discounts and cashback rates are subject to the project’s own terms. What Are QuickSwap and the QUICK Token Used For?QuickSwap is a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange known for its presence in the Polygon ecosystem. Users can swap tokens, provide assets to liquidity pools, and access various decentralized finance products. The project’s official documentation shows that it operates across multiple networks, including Base, Soneium, and Immutable zkEVM, alongside Polygon PoS. Its products also include perpetual futures trading.QUICK serves as the platform’s governance token. Holders can participate in decisions about the protocol’s future through proposals and votes.QuickSwap’s tokenomics also include buybacks and token burns. A June 2025 announcement from the project outlined the use of protocol revenue to purchase and burn QUICK. This mechanism aims to reduce the token supply, while governance decisions determine how the model operates.EPIC and QUICK Prices Fall SharplySelling pressure increased across both tokens following Binance’s delisting announcement. According to JrKripto data from around 10:41 UTC on October 14, EPIC fell 18.43% over the previous 24 hours to approximately $0.3530. QUICK dropped 21.85% over the same period, trading at $0.0078346. Its daily decline therefore exceeded EPIC’s. The losses also extended to their weekly performance. EPIC’s seven-day decline reached 29.62%, while QUICK fell 25.03% over the same period.
Binance has announced that it will close its Binance Pool mining platform and related services on November 10, 2026. The shutdown takes effect at 7:00 a.m. UTC and covers Binance Pool, Pool Savings, Cloud Mining, and Transaction Accelerator. The exchange asked users to redirect their mining equipment to other pools and close active savings positions before the deadline.According to Binance’s October 13 announcement, the decision forms part of its ongoing review of products and services. The notice provided no further details about the reasons for the closure. The schedule sets separate deadlines for ending mining operations and closing access to historical records.Binance Pool Will Stop Accruing New Rewards on November 10Binance will begin disconnecting mining connections to the pool at 7:00 a.m. UTC on November 10. The Stratum URLs and connection endpoints used by miners will also be disabled at that time. The pool will no longer accept hashrate submissions or mining shares after the cutoff. Users will earn no rewards for shares submitted after the shutdown. Mining shares are proofs of work that record the computing contribution a device makes to a pool. The closure extends beyond users who connect mining equipment to the platform. Cloud Mining, Pool Savings, and the Transaction Accelerator service will follow the same shutdown schedule.Telegram hashrate alerts, email notifications, and mining pool API services will also end. Binance will close access points to the affected products, which will stop generating new rewards, yield, or other service benefits.Eligible mining shares submitted before the deadline will still count toward the final reward calculation. Binance will calculate these rewards under its existing pool rules. The cutoff therefore also determines which contributions qualify for miners’ final reward period.Miners Must Redirect Their Equipment to Other PoolsBinance asked miners who want to avoid interruptions to change their equipment’s connection settings before the deadline. Users need to disconnect from Binance Pool and redirect their devices to another mining pool. The warning makes clear that keeping equipment running will not be enough to continue earning rewards. Devices that keep submitting work to old Binance Pool addresses after the cutoff will generate no new earnings through the service.Pool Savings users also need to review their active positions. The exchange asked them to unsubscribe from or redeem those positions before the service ends.Processing of remaining rewards, eligible balances, refunds, and other settlements will continue after the shutdown. However, these transactions will depend on the relevant product terms and each user’s account status.Binance said risk controls, compliance checks, and applicable laws will also govern payment processing. The announcement therefore does not guarantee simultaneous, unconditional payments to every user; eligibility will depend on the relevant product terms.Users must also ensure their accounts can receive any eligible rewards and refunds. Completing account requirements, including any necessary identity verification, will help facilitate the processing of remaining payments.Access to Historical Records Will End on November 24Binance will remove links to Binance Pool from its homepage on November 10. Pool pages will remain accessible for another 14 days so users can review historical information.During that period, users will be able to view historical mining data, account records, and payout status where available. Access to the pages will end permanently at 7:00 a.m. UTC on November 24, 2026.Users therefore need to track the deadline for saving their records as well as those for moving equipment and closing savings positions. They should download any reports and transaction history they may need for future account checks before access ends. The decision comes as Binance expands its product range into other areas. In September, the exchange announced plans to offer physically settled options on more than 1,000 U.S.-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds through Nest Trading.Binance also opened its AI-powered trading interface to English-language users globally on October 12. The mining shutdown represents another change to the company’s product portfolio; the announcement does not establish a direct causal link between its new offerings and the closure.
Blur, once the leading marketplace by trading volume in the Ethereum NFT market, has announced that it will close its website on November 12, 2026. Its NFT-backed lending service, Blend, will stop matching new loans on the same date. The decision follows a decline of more than 99.5% in Blur’s monthly trading volume compared with March 2023.In its October 12 announcement, the Blur team said the shutdown applies to the user interface. Its smart contracts will continue operating on Ethereum, while BLUR holders will retain governance authority over the protocol’s trading fee mechanism.November 12 deadline for Blur and Blend usersUnder the announced schedule, users will no longer be able to trade NFTs through Blur’s official web interface starting November 12. However, the platform’s onchain infrastructure will remain operational. This distinction defines the scope of the shutdown. The website users rely on to carry out transactions will go offline, while the smart contracts executing those transactions on Ethereum will remain in place.Blend users also face a repayment deadline for outstanding loans. Borrowers must repay their loans by November 12; those who fail to do so could default.Blur plans to provide a separate tool after that date to allow users to withdraw assets from Blend. As new loan matching ends, the platform will therefore focus on winding down existing positions and facilitating withdrawals. The “fee switch,” which will remain under BLUR holders’ control, is the governance mechanism that determines whether the protocol charges trading fees. Retaining that authority does not mean fees will automatically take effect or that token holders will receive revenue distributions following the shutdown.Monthly trading volume fell from $1.43 billion to below $7 millionLaunched in 2022, Blur grew rapidly with tools aimed at professional NFT traders. Its fast trading experience, zero marketplace fees and token rewards helped the platform gain market share against OpenSea.According to DefiLlama data, Blur accounted for more than 70% of Ethereum NFT trading volume in March 2023. Trading volume on the platform reached approximately $1.43 billion that month.By March 2026, however, monthly volume had fallen below $7 million. The difference between the two periods represents a contraction of more than 99.5%.The reward programs that helped drive the platform’s growth also attracted criticism over time. Critics argued that the incentives encouraged speculative trading and put pressure on the royalties NFT creators received from secondary sales. However, total trading volume alone does not reveal why users bought and sold NFTs. These figures therefore cannot establish how much activity reflected demand from collectors and how much came from traders pursuing token rewards.Billions in trading volume failed to generate trading fee revenueDespite its high trading volume, Blur’s free trading model generated no marketplace commission revenue. The cited Token Terminal data shows zero protocol revenue over the past three years. However, this metric has a limited scope. It does not establish whether Blur earned revenue from its lending service or other activities. The platform’s website also highlights its zero marketplace fee model and more than $7.4 billion in lifetime trading volume. Blur has not directly attributed its shutdown decision to operating losses in its public announcement.A second shutdown announcement from the same team after BlastBlur’s decision followed a shutdown announcement from another project linked to the same entrepreneur. Blast, the Ethereum scaling network founded by Tieshun Roquerre, known as “Pacman,” announced on October 2 that it would wind down operations.Blast once attracted more than $2 billion in assets, but that figure had fallen to approximately $32 million by the time of the shutdown announcement. Its developers said the cost of operating the network exceeded the revenue it generated. The two projects linked to Roquerre therefore announced their shutdown schedules just ten days apart. Blast users have until October 26 to withdraw assets through the standard interface, while the changes at Blur and Blend will take effect on November 12.The announcement also triggered a sharp decline in the price of BLUR. The token was trading at approximately $0.012 after falling more than 30%.
Crypto this week began with Bitcoin trading at around $83,300 and Ethereum near $2,555. US inflation, comments from Fed officials, oil prices above $100 and Singapore’s stablecoin regulatory process could shape the market’s direction. The crypto calendar features Shardeum’s mainnet upgrade, the first listings of CENT, Sonic’s token burn and the final trading day for the Bitwise Dogecoin ETF. Supply events involving seven tokens, including STRK, ARB, CRO and DBR, will also enter focus.US inflation could reshape Fed expectationsThe US Bureau of Labor Statistics will release September consumer inflation data on Wednesday, October 14, at 3:30 p.m. Türkiye time. A Reuters poll forecasts annual headline inflation at 3.7% and core inflation at 2.5%.These figures are market forecasts rather than published results. A headline reading above expectations could strengthen the view that higher energy costs are passing through to consumer prices more rapidly.Producer prices, retail sales and weekly jobless claims will arrive on Thursday, October 15, at 3:30 p.m. Türkiye time. Retail sales increased by 1.2% in August, making the September report important for assessing whether consumer spending retained its momentum.Import and export prices will be released on Friday, October 16, at 3:30 p.m. Türkiye time. Industrial production will follow at 4:15 p.m.Futures markets assign an approximately 81% probability to the Fed leaving interest rates unchanged at its October 27–28 meeting. Employment growth of only 29,000 in September weakened expectations for an October increase, while persistent inflation could bring December back into focus.Fed officials and the Beige Book enter focusFederal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller will discuss the economic outlook in Istanbul on Tuesday, October 13, at 11:30 a.m. Türkiye time. JPMorgan analysts estimate that approximately $50 billion has flowed into digital assets since the start of the year. The bank said recovering ETF demand and growing futures positions supported the outlook for the fourth quarter. However, spot Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and XRP ETFs collectively recorded approximately $312 million in net outflows on October 8.In an October 7 report, the analyst team led by Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou calculated that current inflows represented an annualized pace of approximately $66 billion. While that figure rose from $52 billion in May, it remained roughly half of last year’s pace. The annualized figure represents the amount that would accumulate if the current pace of inflows continued for a full year. The $66 billion figure therefore measures something different from the total inflows recorded so far this year.ETF Recovery Accompanied by Daily OutflowsAccording to the report, Strategy’s Bitcoin purchases and funding for crypto startups were the main sources of capital entering the digital asset market during the first half of the year. Meanwhile, withdrawals from crypto ETFs weighed on overall flows.ETFs experienced particularly heavy outflows in May and June. However, flows began recovering in August, pushing the year-to-date total back into positive territory. The picture changes when measured over a longer period. Analysts noted that cumulative ETF flows remained negative when calculated from October 10, 2025, when the crypto market downturn began. The recovery in recent months has therefore yet to fully offset earlier withdrawals. Although ETFs have returned to net inflows for 2026, they have not closed the cumulative shortfall recorded since October 2025.XRP ETFs Bucked the Trend on October 8Daily figures for October 8 showed that ETF demand continued to fluctuate. Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $244 million in net outflows, while Ethereum ETFs lost $72.54 million and Solana ETFs saw withdrawals of $3.32 million.XRP spot ETFs, meanwhile, attracted $8.17 million in net inflows. That brought the combined daily net outflow across ETFs tracking the four assets to $311.69 million.Bitcoin funds accounted for the largest withdrawals, followed by Ethereum ETFs. Inflows into XRP funds offset only a small portion of the money leaving funds tracking the other three assets. These daily figures cover a different time frame from JPMorgan’s assessment of the broader recovery. The October 8 flows also occurred after the bank’s October 7 report.Bitcoin and Ethereum Futures Positions ExpandedInstitutional positions in Bitcoin and Ether futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) increased over the past two months. After a slow start to the year, activity strengthened toward the end of the third quarter.According to JPMorgan’s calculations, Bitcoin futures positioning surpassed its previous peak. Ether positions approached the high recorded in October 2025.Capital flows consequently broadened beyond corporate purchases and venture funding, which had provided most of the support during the first half. Analysts linked the growth in ETF flows and futures positions to greater participation from retail and institutional investors. The report also noted that trend-following traders had begun rebuilding long positions in Bitcoin and Ether. Meanwhile, leverage indicators in perpetual futures remained above historical averages despite declining from their previous peaks.JPMorgan Expanded Its Flow CalculationsThe bank combines several investment channels when estimating capital flows into digital assets. Crypto fund inflows and outflows, flows implied by CME futures, and capital raised by crypto startups form the core components of the calculation.Digital asset purchases by publicly listed miners and corporate treasuries also contribute to the total estimate. In its latest report, the analysts expanded the calculation to include purchases by private companies, private mining businesses and government-related entities. The approximately $50 billion estimate therefore extends beyond money entering ETFs. It provides a measure of total capital flowing into the digital asset ecosystem through various channels.Miners Remained Net SellersAccording to JPMorgan, Bitcoin miners recorded approximately $1.8 billion in net sales this year. Publicly listed mining companies accounted for most of the selling. These companies sold newly mined Bitcoin to finance spending on artificial intelligence infrastructure, while some also reduced their existing reserves. The mining sector therefore followed a different pattern from corporate treasuries making purchases. The bank concluded that stronger ETF flows and futures positioning in the third quarter had created positive momentum heading into the fourth quarter. However, the October 8 net outflows showed that daily fund demand remained uneven despite the broader recovery.
