This technology uses a distributed ledger or database where each participant keeps their own copy, which occurs by agreement of the participants. Each transaction block contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block and may contain a series of transactions. In this way, every participant can verify the validity of transactions on the network, and modifying or deleting a block becomes difficult, since this requires the approval of the majority of the network. DLT is used in many different application areas, such as cryptocurrencies, and provides reliable, transparent and resilient data management.
